The quite newly erected Shiodome-Complex in Shimbashi is one of the new city centers in Tokyo. Like Shinagawa and Roppongi Hills, many new skyscrapers were finished at the same time and form a new skyline in the harbor-Area of Tokyo. Impressive sights! On the first picture you can see the Shiodome-Area from Roppongi Hills, together with Tokyo Tower. The Hamamatsuchou-Building is just right of the Tower, but unfortunately did not fit on the picture anymore.
There is also a
Shiodome area map.

The view on the New Panasonic Building from the 38th floor of the Dentsu-Building. To the right of the building you can see the emperor's palace. On this floor, all the restaurants are located, in this case a Sushi-Shop. From the other side of teh building, you can see where the fish is coming from: The Tsukiji fish market. This is a specially good place to go around 5:00 in the morning, usually after you have been drinking the whole night. So far, I never made it, unfortunately. The courtyard in front of the building features a turtle-like sculpture which exhausts steam of unknown origin.

The Dentsu-Building has a nice sideline. However, since there are so many buildings that rise at the same place now, it is hard to make it out from the distance. The Yurikamome-train (Sea-Gulf-Train) goes through the complex and brings you over the rainbow bridge to the other side of the bay, from where you can see the Shio-dome-complex from the backside. Only from there you can see how massive the ?-Building is.
