Pork or Beef Kimuchi & Rice Recipe

Asian Cooking This is a nice Snack to make for Lunch, and a part of typical, easy home-cooking style Japanese & Korean food. The Dish is usually served on Rice, and the spiciness of the Kimuchi is nicely taken by it.

As Pork meat you need Pork belly, but not with too much fat. It has to be sliced quite fine, so if you live outside of Asia this might be a bit hard to get. Your local Butcher will have to freeze the pork first before he can cut it.

You need:

* 200g Sliced pork or beef

* 200g Kimuchi, cut into 2x2cm large pieces

The amount of Kimuchi here is about half a kilo. I cut them and put half of it back. You might have some Kimuchi with Daikon (Radish), but thats also fine.
* 1 smaller piece of Ginger ,chopped into fine pieces

* 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
* 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
* Leek (Optional), cut it in slices of about 1 cm length

1. cut the pork/beef in pieces of 3-4 cm length
2. Heat the sesame oil in a skillet over moderately high heat
3. Add the ginger to release its fragrance

4. Add pork and cook until the color changes, then add Kimuchi
5. Pour soy sauce and mix together
6. Add leak and quickly stir everything and finish before leak is overdone

Then make a bowl filled with rice and put everything on top of the rice.
