A planet full of newsfeeds

People who are interested in a specific topic usually have a hard time finding all blogs related to that topic. There might be new blogs popping up, and a ton of feeds to maintain in a reader. Also, searching on the web does not always return the proper results since a lot of spam and semi-related stuff is around. That's where the Planet Newsreader comes into play. It aggregates all feeds for a single topic and returns them as a new blog and feed. Of course, there has to be an admin of the reader who inputs all the feeds, but all people who write a blog about a topic can always submit their link to the site and thus decentralizing the maintenance and taking it away from the reader. Of course, as with most new applications on the web, they are first used for tech-related topics, and also here you will find many covering open source issues such as Suse Linux, Mozilla and openoffice.org. But the first non-tech topics are popping up also. Those for example who want to get the latest news about the lingerie industry without running into drooling teens can check out the Lingerie Planet. This software is quite easy to setup. A user interface for maintenance of subscriptions is missing, so raw file editing has to be done.
