Galapagos Birds: the Red-Billed Tropicbird (Phaethon Aethereus)

The Red-billed Tropical Bird is VERY hard to catch on a picture. Being not very large and quite rare, you have to be very lucky. After spending one week in the islands, I have been scanning the horizon for one.

However, working with a 300mm Zoom lens, it is quite hard to catch a bird on the horizon thats only about 30cm large. Finally however, I was VERY lucky. The bird came closer to me and actually sat down right in front of me on a rock.
