Galapagos Plants

Galapagos
The variety of plants on the islands is quite large since they all have different climates. The mix between lava rocks, deserts and forests is quite interesting and shows many different kinds of environments to explore for vegetation.

The small berry on picture 1 is used in schools as glue.
The apple held up in picture 2 is very poisonous. It can cause rashes already just by touching its juice. On picture 3 you can see a skull of a goat. These goats have been set free by sailors in the past and are today one of the biggest pests of the islands. They are hard to find and do not have enemies there. So the eat too many plants and steal the food from other animals that are endangered. So there are many different programs to kill them.
