Galapagos Birds: Albatros

Galapagos
The albatross is the largest bird on the islands. You can find them only at a few distinctive spots, and they are more shy than the other birds. Due to their size, you better keep your distance anyhow, you don't want to get hit by their beak in any case. On the first picture here, you can see a couple flirting by clacking their beaks together.

The head is quite impressive. They have a kind of eyebrows and also do not move too fast.

There is one cliff where they literally stand in line behind each other and walk towards the edge. There, they spread the wings, and jump down to catch a breeze and to fly without the effort of having to flap their wings. It looks like a mini-airport.. seriously.
