Trips & Sights
With a few hours to spend in Budapest, and lots to see, the view from the Palace might be the best idea. Also, walking through the city instead of public transport or worse, taxi, gives you a nice idea about how life in this city might be like, as well as an overview of the most famous spots.

The chain bridge, the Mathias Church and a Panorama from the Castle hill towards the chain bridge, the city center and the Parliament.
A close-up on the parliament, the chain-bridge and some ornaments near the Ludvig Museum.
On the first picture you can see the Ludvig Museum. There was a change of guards near the museum. Note the trumpet player on the balcony.
Pictures 2 & 3 is the market hall of Budapest. Unfortunately, must of the products here are targeted for tourists. You can get some normal fruit and meat also.
The last picture is mostly funny for German-speaking readers: "Friss" means to "eat", but more describing how animals devour something... being this a gas-station on the highway towards Germany & Austria, you know what kind of customers frequent here :-)
